About Us

We are a family operated sawmill with experienced staff and honest advice

We supply quality hardwood timber for DIY jobs, landscape projects and self builds. We have a large range of timber in stock and will cut to order to your specifications.

Our Business

We are serious about the quality of timber we cut and deliver. We pride ourselves in both our business and environmental ethics and strive to provide quality, value and service.

Our timber is used by builders, councils, government departments and rail networks Queensland wide.  We supply timber resellers and processors interstate as far south as Melbourne.

Our Background

From humble beginnings

Sawdust runs in the blood, cutting timber was a family affair for the Pershouse’s with Jarrod’s father Eddie starting to mill timber on the property back in 1981. Once old enough Jarrod and his brothers joined their dad in cutting timber and sleepers. Jarrod took over the property and renamed the sawmill Boundary Creek Timber in 2000 and the business continued to grow year on year.
Recently expansions have seen the original workforce of just Jarrod and one other growing to employ around 18 members staff.

Business Expansion

Fleet expansion and new premises

In the following years the business became financially successful and as a result three new trucks were added to the fleet and the current premises secured. The transportation and resaw operations were successfully relocated and the business was renamed and registered as Boundary Creek Timber and Transport.

Equipment Upgrades

Mill makeover and staff expansion

The mill has undergone a radical makeover in the last 2 years with massive upgrades in our equipment enabling better and more efficient production. Logs for milling are sourced locally from private landholders with the logging plant and equipment operated by a trusted contractor. Timber is also sourced from other local contractors in the area.

Jarrod Pershouse, the director/proprietor, works closely with the office and sales managers, and staff to coordinate mill production, transport and delivery of products to ensure customer satisfaction is always our top priority.
